Knowa.com is a custom software development and web development firm based in Chattanooga, TN with partners in Eastern Europe and Russia. We offer full cycle custom web development and web design services, from product idea, offshore engineering and implementation to continued support and enhancement. We also provide optional managed Windows hosting to our clients.

Knowa.com offers a customer-driven project management (CDPM) model that combines outsourced software development and web design in Russia and Eastern Europe with project management, project architecture and delivery in the US.

Corporate Bio

Knowa Internet Technologies was founded in the year 1997, but actually evolved from a much older technology business, Warren Ventures, Inc., which began developing multi-user, online data processing applications on the VAX/VMS platform as early as 1987. Our expertise in the VAX datatrieve language migrated perfectly to the SQL Server and SQL-centric database world, since Datatrieve's RDBMS (relational database management system) was a predecessor of Structured Query Language (SQL).

January, 1997 Knowa.com is founded After many years in the publishing industry, we formed knowa.com to service the fast-growing internet sector. We began by developing applications that crawled the internet gathering data, under a contract with a large New York City publishing company.
October, 2000 ASP.NET and SQL Server The year 2000 saw our first work in Microsoft's Active Server Page platform. We were impressed by the ASP platform and quickly became experts in using ASP to deliver highly dynamic, database driven websites. We became proficient in using SQL Server as the database backend.
May, 2002 Developing Vertical Marketplaces The need for communities of interest for collectors of antiques and memorabilia was cited as a springboard for developing our 2nd Markets line of vertical marketplace communities. Sites like icollectmovieposters.com and icollectstamps.com quickly became popular gathering places for collectors.
